Here are some great things you can do to support the campaign!
Become a Host
The ALIVE CAMPAIGN Biking Team will be camping and staying in host homes along their route in order to cut costs. One of the best ways you can support the Alive Campaign mission is to provide a meal and a safe place to stay as we pass through the various communities on our biking route. If you, your organization or someone you know along the route would be willing to serve as a host home, it would greatly aid our efforts. Nathan Lloyd's Mom, Marquita Lloyd is serving us as Trip Coordinator, please contact her at 254-687-2741 or 254-659-7498 or by email at marquita.lloyd@owner4life.com THANKS!
Participate in the forums!
Just the exchange of ideas and offering someone else encouragement is a great way to support the cause! By doing this you are both raising awareness about suicide and you may be prevention someone from attempting it also.
Donate!
There are two ways you can donate money to our organization. You can do this via the mail or online. Please go to the “Donate/Sponsorship” section for more information!
Buy AliveGear & fundraise in your communities!
When you wear AliveGear you are actively recruiting supporters and giving our cause more muscle and new life. Also AliveGear may make your fundraising efforts easier. However, you don’t need AliveGear to fundraise! If you and some friends want to go out and collect change and fundraise for the cause, that’s awesome!
Join the fight elsewhere also!
Alive Campaign is only one organization of several that is fighting the issue of suicide on a daily basis! By supporting other organizations as well and reading their messages you are supporting our campaign also!
BE THERE FOR YOUR FRIENDS!
One of the most important things you can do to support the campaign is being there when your friends need you the most. If a friend or someone you know is having a really rough time or starts acting weird (like giving away his/her possessions), ask them about it and be there for them! If you have any suspicions they may kill themselves, ask the questions you need to ask! Figure out if they plan on making a suicide attempt or what they are thinking. Lastly, get your friend the help he or she needs.
