Q: When are you going to do this?
A: We plan on going May 15th 2008, pending logistical and financial issues.
Q: How is your friend?
A: He is fine and will be joining us on our trip. His identity will remain secret however for his privacy.
Q: How can I help?
A: There are many ways to help! You can donate, buy Alive Gear, post your story in the forums and discuss the issue, articipate in various contests we will be holding and vote in our polls.
Q: This really looks cool. Can I join you guys!?
A: There will be a way you can join us! However, you will need to raise funds and accept the risks involved. You are welcome to ride with us, but just not officially as "Alive". This way, we dont get sued and most of the money will go to the cause. We recommend starting a chapter at your university or work! That will make funds, contact with us, and linking up with us will be alot easier for you. More details about this issue will be posted as they come!
Q: I have an awesome shirt idea. You told me that you love it, but why is it not posted as "Alive Gear"?
A: It just means you need to sign a creative license contract with us. We will give credit for all designs...We just want to make sure that all the money is going towards the right place and that nobody is getting scammed.
Q: Someone has a website that is selling stuff with the Alive logo on it...can I buy it there?
A: NO! If you see anyone claiming to be selling our gear, DO NOT BUY IT. It is a scam! Also, report it to us!
Q: Someone is really messing up the forums...what do I do?
A: Dont feed the trolls and let an admin know!
Q: I sometimes see pictures with 5 or more guys. I thought it was 4.
A: We have 4 founders, 1 co-director, and several other team members with different jobs. See "Meet The Team" for more info.
Q: How long will it take to get to my e-mail?
A: It should take us 1-4 days to get back to your e-mail.
Q: Where is my money going when I donate?
A: The funds you donate will go towards accomplishing the trip (in a safe fashion) and all funds in excess of this will be used for charitable purposes as pertains to efforts towards suicide prevention. Currently, we have not decided how we will specifically achieve this. However, we will do one of two things. We will either shut down the corporation, liquidating all of it’s assets, and donate all funds to established suicide awareness and prevention programs with professional assistance programs. Second, Alive Campaign may continue to exist as its own campaign, working to become a national multi-chapter campaign to spread awareness about this issue and do what we can to decrease suicide and the pain caused by suicide.
Q: So what path are you taking to get there?
A: To to The Trip section to figure out more about this.
Q: What is the youtube challenge?
A: See blog 2. However, we basically want people to tell us what is one thing worth living for to them or how this campaign has impacted them. We will use this footage for our future PSA efforts and possibly for our documentry.
Q: What happens when the ride is over?
A: We will either give all our assets to a similar organization or let Alive Campaign continue to grow with chapters being set up across the country.
Q: Why does it say "Word of Life" church when I donate?
A: This is because right now we were doing business through Justin's dad's church called the "Word of Life" church. Alive Campaign is applying independently for 501c3 status, but that takes 6 months. We don't have that kind of time right now so this why we are currently doing business through them.
Q: I have a question...
A: Send it to us via the "contact us" section!
